Abstract AI visualisation with glowing pathways

Learning outcomes

  • Design application-level instrumentation for neural features without drowning storage budgets.
  • Build attribution views that separate model confidence from feature contribution.
  • Detect and narrate drift for stakeholders who do not speak PSI.
  • Produce a written feature health brief suitable for a release review.

Informational price: £2,150 per seat (Lattice Cohort). Team retainers available on pricing.

Curriculum

Modules

  1. 01
    Feature inventory under constraint

Map owners, latency, and privacy class for every feature touching a critical journey.

  2. 02
    Instrumentation that respects the app

Sampling strategies, mobile batching, and failure modes when events arrive late.

  3. 03
    Attribution without theatre

Contribution methods compared; when SHAP-style views mislead product teams.

  4. 04
    Drift as a narrative

Translate statistical alarms into release decisions and rollback criteria.

  5. 05
    Capstone critique

Present a feature family brief to faculty and peers; revise from feedback.

Instructor

Portrait of instructor Amira Kell

Amira Kell

Amira led feature platforms for two UK digital banks before joining Neural Networks as studio director. She teaches application analytics with a bias toward readable narratives and explicit limitations.

Learner notes

From recent cohorts

“Module three on attribution maps changed how we annotate experiments. We still struggle with cold-start features, which Amira flagged as outside the Atelier’s scope.”

FAQ

Do I need a production model already?

Yes. The Atelier assumes you can share anonymised telemetry or a realistic synthetic twin. Pure research prototypes are a poor fit.

Is this a coding bootcamp?

No. You will write analysis notes and light notebooks, but the emphasis is judgement, instrumentation design, and communication.

What is a real limitation of the programme?

We do not cover training new architectures from scratch, nor do we certify compliance under every UK regulator. Teams in highly supervised industries should budget follow-on legal review for any instrumentation changes.

Can my whole team join?

Yes via Synapse Retainer pricing. Contact us for scheduling across UK time zones.
